Since 1997, designer L. Kelland has been a prominent figure in marine interiors, creating innovative designs for fishing vessels, yachts, and conceptual marine projects. His recognized expertise led to his work being featured on the television show World's Deadliest Catch, where his interior craftsmanship was showcased on one of the program's robust fishing boats. Additional examples of his portfolio can be found on various industry platforms.

The economic downturn of 2008 significantly impacted the marine industry, causing a decline in boat sales. Consequently, Kelland was laid off in 2009. Faced with a growing family and mortgage, he identified an opportunity in the burgeoning golf cart industry, which was experiencing growth due to electric vehicle rebates.

Frustrated by the uninspired and often clunky aesthetics of typical golf cart enclosures—which he perceived as an afterthought—Kelland launched Mulligan’s Enclosures. His mission was to apply the same intentional design principles and seamless functionality from his marine work to golf cart customization. The goal was to create enclosures that complement the natural body lines of each cart with precision and creativity.

With a continuous drive for evolution and to provide a truly custom experience, Kelland is now introducing Threadworks. This new offering provides clients with a more refined and personalized experience, maintaining the high-quality craftsmanship synonymous with Mulligan’s Enclosures. Threadworks elevates customization through deeper collaboration, one-off designs, and a higher degree of tailored detail, ensuring a truly bespoke product.
